Introducing the Breakfast Betty Burger – Juicy Lucy’s early rising cousin!  Nestled between a buttered and griddled English muffin is a hearty sausage patty bursting with Bongards® Pasteurized Blended Cheddar Cheese, adding a gooey richness to every bite. Atop this savory foundation rests a golden hash brown, crispy and irresistible, crowned with a perfectly fried egg that oozes its golden yolk with each indulgent bite. Garnished with fresh green onions and finished with a dollop of seasoned mayo, this burger is a symphony of flavors and textures, offering a satisfying start to any day.



  1. Prepare burger sauce a day in advance, if possible.
  2. Form two 2 oz. sausage patties.  Add cheese to the center of one patty, then top with the second patty, combining them to enclose the cheese.
  3. Sear patty until fully cooked and crispy on edges.
  4. While sausage is cooking, griddle English muffin and hash brown until golden and cooked through.
  5. Fry egg to over medium.
  6. Spread bottom half of English muffin with burger sauce, then layer with the sausage patty, hashbrown, egg, green onions, and second half of English muffin.

Burger Sauce

  • 1/2 C. mayonnaise
  • 2 Tbsp. ketchup
  • 1 tsp. sweet pickle juice
  • 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp. smoked or regular paprika
  • Dash of cayenne, optional
  • Salt & pepper, to taste
  1. Stir all ingredients together.
  2. Make a few hours ahead of time and keep refrigerated, allowing the flavors time to come together.
