Introducing the Breakfast Betty Burger – Juicy Lucy’s early rising cousin! Nestled between a buttered and griddled English muffin is a hearty sausage patty bursting with Bongards® Pasteurized Blended Cheddar Cheese, adding a gooey richness to every bite. Atop this savory foundation rests a golden hash brown, crispy and irresistible, crowned with a perfectly fried egg that oozes its golden yolk with each indulgent bite. Garnished with fresh green onions and finished with a dollop of seasoned mayo, this burger is a symphony of flavors and textures, offering a satisfying start to any day.
INGREDIENTS
- 2 – 2 oz. breakfast sausage patties
- 1 frozen hashbrown
- 2 slices Bongards® Pasteurized Blended Cheddar Cheese
- 1 egg
- 3 Tbsp. burger sauce (see recipe below)
- 1 Tbsp. green onions, thinly sliced
- 1 English muffin
PREPARATION
- Prepare burger sauce a day in advance, if possible.
- Form two 2 oz. sausage patties. Add cheese to the center of one patty, then top with the second patty, combining them to enclose the cheese.
- Sear patty until fully cooked and crispy on edges.
- While sausage is cooking, griddle English muffin and hash brown until golden and cooked through.
- Fry egg to over medium.
- Spread bottom half of English muffin with burger sauce, then layer with the sausage patty, hashbrown, egg, green onions, and second half of English muffin.

Burger Sauce
INGREDIENTS
- 1/2 C. mayonnaise
- 2 Tbsp. ketchup
- 1 tsp. sweet pickle juice
- 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp. smoked or regular paprika
- Dash of cayenne, optional
- Salt & pepper, to taste
PREPARATION
- Stir all ingredients together.
- Make a few hours ahead of time and keep refrigerated, allowing the flavors time to come together.
