Farmer’s Burger Recipe

This hearty, home style recipe will whisk you away to bluer skies and grassier plains. Free-range, grass fed beef blended with savory bits of bacon is the perfect compliment to succulent pork belly, sunny-side up fried eggs, crisp mixed greens, juicy tomatoes and, of course, Bongards® American Cheese Slices.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1/2 Lb. ground beef
  • 4 Slices of bacon
  • 2 Slices of pork belly
  • 2 Eggs (fried sunny-side up)
  • 2 Hamburger buns
  • 1/2 Lb. Bongards® American Cheese Slices.
  • 1/2 Cup mixed greens
  • 1/2 Tomato (sliced)

PREPARATION

  1. Cook bacon in skillet. Set aside and let cool. Chop up into small pieces.
  2. Mix uncooked ground beef with the bacon bits. Form beef into two patties and grill on skillet.
  3. While beef is grilling, fry pork belly slices on the other side of the skillet until done. Set aside burgers and pork belly.
  4. Fry eggs sunny-side up on one side of the skillet and brown buns on the other side.
  5. Layer all ingredients onto the bun and serve.
