Smoked BLT Sandwich
Try a classic BLT with a twist! This dish features juicy tomatoes, crisp lettuce, a smear of smoked black peppercorn mayo, thick slabs of maplewood smoked bacon, and a slice of Bongards® Natural Cheddar and Swiss Cheese. Your guests will seek out this upscaled BLT every time they enter your establishment!
INGREDIENTS
- 8 Slices of maple wood smoked bacon
- 8 Rye bread slices
- 4 Tbsp. smoked black peppercorn mayonnaise
- 4-8 leaves of lettuce
- 4 Tomato slices
- 4 Bongards® Cheddar Cheese Slices
- 4 Bongards® Swiss Cheese Slices
- Optional – 4 Cherry tomatoes
- Optional – 1 Pickle (quartered)
PREPARATION
- Cook bacon according to package.
- While bacon is cooking, toast the bread slices.
- For each sandwich, spread 1 tablespoon of mayo to the bread.
- Next add 2 slices of cheese, 1 tomato slice, 1-2 leaves of lettuce, and 2 slices of bacon.
- Top off with a toothpick of pickle and cherry tomato if desired.
