Chicken Parm Sandwich
Craving chicken parm but want something handheld? Look no further than this irresistible Chicken Parm Sandwich! We’re taking all the flavors you love – juicy chicken, delicious Bongards® Pasteurized Blended Mozzarella Cheese or Bongards® Pasteurized Blended Provolone Cheese, all drizzled with a fragrant basil marinara sauce and piled on a fluffy garlic butter slider bun. Get ready for a finger-lickin’ good twist on a classic!
INGREDIENTS
- 2-3 oz. pre-cooked chicken breast or chicken patty
- 1/2 Tbsp. Bongards® Salted Butter Quarters
- 1/16 tsp. granulated garlic
- 1 slider buns
- 1 slice Bongards® Pasteurized Blended Mozzarella Cheese or Bongards® Pasteurized Blended Provolone Cheese
- 2 Tbsp. marinara sauce (see secondary recipe below)
PREPARATION
- Prepare marinara sauce.
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
- Place chicken on a sheet pan and bake until thoroughly heated, about 10-15 minutes.
- Mix together butter and granulated garlic.
- Assemble: Bottom bun, mozzarella or provolone cheese, grilled chicken, marinara sauce, top bun brushed with garlic butter.

Marinara Sauce
INGREDIENTS
- 1/4 C. extra-virgin olive oil
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 Tbsp. tomato paste
- 1 – 28 oz. can whole peeled Italian tomatoes
- Pinch of kosher salt
- Pinch of freshly ground black pepper
- Pinch of sugar
- 6 leaves fresh basil
PREPARATION
- Heat the extra-virgin olive oil in a large saucepan over medium heat.
- Add garlic cloves and cook over moderate heat, stirring occassionally, until golden, about 5 minutes.
- Add tomato paste and cook while stirring for 1 minute.
- Add whole tomatoes, crush them with back of spoon.
- Season with salt and pepper.
- Stir in sugar and basil, bring to a boil.
- Simmer over low heat, stirring occassionally, until sauce has thickened and reduced to 3 cups, about 30 minutes.
- Discard basil leaves.
