Tequila Infused Queso Recipe

The only thing better than warm crispy chips and melty queso is an added splash of tequila.   This decadent dish features Bongards® Super Melt™ American Cheese with sautéed tomatoes, onion, garlic, spicy jalapeño, and a punch of tequila. Top off your bowl of creamy, cheesy goodness with pico de gallo and serve with crunchy tortilla chips for an instant favorite.

  1. In large saucepan, cook onions and garlic in oil over medium heat, until they are softened. Add the diced tomatoes, a splash of tequila, and stir for 1-2 minutes.  Turn off heat, add jalapeños, and set aside.
  2. In a separate sauce pan add the cubed cheese and milk; cook over medium-low heat, stirring often, until melted, adding additional milk if needed.
  3. Stir in the pico de gallo mixture and spoon into a festive queso bowl. Top with a bit more of the pico for extra flair. Serve with toasty tortilla chips and watch it disappear!
